Description Jørgen Øksenholt 2002-11-17 14:30:37 UTC
Gentoo finds the card, but when i try to get an ip from my dhcp, it doesnt
work. i also tried to write an ip manually, but it didnt work either.

The NIC is a CNET PRO200 PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter.

Comment 3 Martin Schlemmer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-11-18 14:00:15 UTC
What version of the install cd ?
Comment 4 Jørgen Øksenholt 2002-11-18 15:24:28 UTC
it is the 1.4_rc1-r2.
Comment 5 Daniel Robbins (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-12-22 01:10:25 UTC
1.4_rc1-r2 has ethernet support built in to the kernel, not as modules. Try
http:/www.gentoo.org/dyn/experimental/livecd/ (the "20021221" or later version)
and see how it works for you. Post results (good/bad) here.
Comment 6 Daniel Robbins (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2003-09-09 15:37:00 UTC
there weren't ethernet modules on this livecd; closing.
Comment 7 John Davis (zhen) (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-01-20 21:39:43 UTC
housework, daniel said to close it in the last comment.
Comment 8 Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-25 11:24:32 UTC
Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux".

I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers,
this is the only reasonable way to do this.
