Description wilho 2005-10-04 11:48:04 UTC
Hi!
I'm having mce remote (newer version), now supported in lirc 0.7.2, but I'm not
having /dev/lirc/* -devices (except /dev/lircd).

Running
#mknod /dev/lirc u 61 0
creates non-functional node;
#cat /dev/lirc
cat: /dev/lirc: No such device

Here's error-free dmesg to prove I've loaded the modules:
#dmesg|grep lirc
lirc_dev: IR Remote Control driver registered, at major 61
usbcore: registered new driver lirc_mceusb
/var/tmp/portage/lirc-0.7.2/work/lirc-0.7.2/drivers/lirc_mceusb/lirc_mceusb.c:
USB Microsoft IR Transceiver Driver v0.2

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Sorry about false alarm. I was just using lirc_mceusb instead of lirc_mceusb2 :(
