Post the steps to reproduce the problem, I don't really understand the
description. Besides, the instruction tell you to re-emerge wxGTK with
USE=-unicode or with USE=-gtk2, *not* to re-emerge audacity with USE=-unicode.
Finally, audacity-1.2.1 explicitely depends on =x11-libs/wxGTK-2.4*, so
information about wxGTK-2.6.1 is irrelevant.
