Enabling mouse pointer highlighting (when pressing the control key) breaks any keyboard shortcut which uses the control key. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Enable keyboard shortcut which uses the control key (Desktop->Preferences->Keyboard Shortcuts) 2. Test the keyboard shortcut 3. Check "Highlight the pointer when you press Ctrl" in the "Cursor" tab in Mouse Preferences (Desktop->Preferences->Mouse Preferences 4. Test the keyboard shortcut again Actual Results: The keyboard shortcut isn't actived and when performed while focus is on a terminal, charactors are printed out Expected Results: Keyboard shortcut should work even with pointer highlighting enabled gnome-base/gnome 2.12 gnome-base/control-center 2.12
