I think my problem is flash only as well actually. Sorry for the confusion.
A workaround for this is to use 24 bit colors for X. The bug could be a reoccurrence of https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=200829
We can't fix netscape-flash. Closing UPSTREAM.
