Because the mnogosearch use flag is ignored in php5_0-sapi.eclass, upgrading to new php ebuilds will break all web sites using mnogosearch! The "mnogosearch" USE flag was added to the PHP Overlay [1], it will be in Portage soon for PHP 4.4.X and PHP 5.0.X. PHP 5.1.X will no more have bundled mnogosearch support, so the php5_1 eclass will not support it in the future. The solution proposed upstream is the use of a PECL package for this, PECL package wich is actually not yet available on pecl.php.net (so the status of mnogosearch & PHP 5.1 is unclear atm, but there is time for this to be solved, 5.1 is not due for at least a month imo).
