The window manager for small devices has made great advances lately. The version in portage is VERY outdated. Attaching a set of ebuilds to fix that. They are not tested thoroughly since I'm bit short on time but they are functional enough for anyone who wants to play. Maybe even ready for portage...

Some remarks: * forgot to fill-in licence -> it's GPL * there are many small ebuilds instead of one big-sized. that's because it's supposed to go embedded * someone can create a "matchbox" ebuild which would depend on all those tiny ones (virtual package?) * some ebuilds are even missing (for some applets and stuff). they will come later (but feel free to create them first)
"S=${WORKDIR}/${P}" is unnecessary since it defaults to this value... change the ebuilds to use (no pun intended...) $(use_enable foo) and $(use_with foo)

I tried to do the same thing and even applied as a developer, but they didn't accept my application. So I lost interest.. :( What I did can be seen on http://amd.store20.com/gentoo-matchbox/
Well, my series is more USE-full (doesn't that sound funny?) but generally seems to be the same. It's sad Gentoo has policy like that and ebuilds don't get accepted. Once I'll get Gentoo running on my PDA, I will take your and my ebuilds to create a complete pack. Meanwhile a note for Gentoo devs: Please accept these ebuilds at least as a version bump for obsolete matchbox which pollutes portage right now...
I'd love to see this get into portage! 0.7.1 can be considered quite antique already.
This package should be desktop-wm.

All Matchbox packages in cvs, also made a version dump for x11-wm/matchbox to be a meta package for the Matchbox desktop.
