Description George Prowse 2005-09-29 07:37:54 UTC
neverball-1.4.0 at first failed the MD5 check:

!!! Digest verification Failed:
!!! /usr/portage/distfiles/neverball-1.4.0.tar.gz
!!! Reason: Failed on MD5 verification

So i deleted the manifest, re-digested, deleted the tar and redownloaded and now
it is saying that it cannot unpack the file. I gave it a try with file roller
and it gives the same errors:

gzip: stdin: decompression OK, trailing garbage ignored
tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors

!!! ERROR: games-puzzle/neverball-1.4.0 failed.
!!! Function unpack, Line 382, Exitcode 2
!!! failure unpacking neverball-1.4.0.tar.gz

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge neverball
2.
3.

Actual Results:
failure with the above message

Expected Results:
compile cleanly

Comment 1 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-09-29 08:01:19 UTC
The md5 in portage is correct. You either have a bad mirror or a more serious
local problem.
Comment 2 George Prowse 2005-09-30 05:12:25 UTC
After being sent the tar by a friend it works perfectly. The problem is not this
side and neither am I responsible for mirrors thankyou!
Comment 3 Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-09-30 06:21:44 UTC
Mr_Bones_: can you upload a known-good version of the tarball to
distfiles-local? I'm going to mark this one as INVALID, but if one of the
mirrors is acting up, uploading a new version should take care of it.
Comment 4 Mr. Bones. (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-09-30 08:27:04 UTC
done.
