Description Gal Diskin 2005-09-29 03:24:46 UTC
The Horde application framework version 2.2.8 (and all version 2 series as far
as I understand), does not work with php version 4.4.0 (see
http://archives.free.net.ph/message/20050712.145515.4bf53644.en.html#horde-imp ).

emerging horde with keyword ~amd64 allows you to emerge horde 3.0.5 (version 3
series) where it seems that this compatability problem is solved by the vendor.
On a side note, even though masked, I didn't find any problem with any feature
of horde on my amd64 platform so far.

My suggestion is to make php >= 4.4.0 blocking for horde 2.x.x . (However, I'm
unsure in what version of php does this compatability issue start).

Reproducible: Didn't try
Steps to Reproduce:
1. find an amd64 platform
2. emerge --oneshot ">=dev-php/php-4.4.0"
3. emerge horde
4. (fix vhosts if required on your system using webapp-config)
5. try to access http://your_vhost/horde/

Actual Results:
php error messages (see the link in the bug details).

Expected Results:
horde application framework functioning normally.
