Created attachment 69431 [details, diff] uptdate of openswan gentoo patch builds... i will test it more in the next days ...
Any chance you could publish the 2.4.0 ebuild? those of us with new gentoo installs (glibc 2.3.5) have no choice but to use the masked builds as the stable ones won't build. It would be nice to be able to try out 2.4.0 instead of 2.3.x as it's supposedly a stable release... I'm curious to know what kind of problems users are having with the package on x86 actually, as i'm rather hoping i can get it working soon! Any info you could give would be appreciated, cheers - Liam
you just need to rename the openswan-2.3.1.ebuild file to openswan-2.4.0.ebuild and add the patch in previous post in the files directory... one time commands : cd /usr/portage/net-misc/openswan/ cp openswan-2.3.1.ebuild openswan-2.4.0.ebuild cp /.../openswan-2.4.0-gentoo.patch . ebuild openswan-2.4.0.ebuild digest and then emerge, for a more durable setup use PORTAGE_OVERLAY please report any sucess / problem as this may help to have it quickier on the portage tree thanks
i'll look to getting openswan-2.4.2 in portage in the next couple of days.
openswan-2.4.2 is now in portage.
