sorry i will not process this. you include files with your tarball that you havent changed; why? im afraid this is just too clumsy to deal with i would appreciate, if you would post an inline unified instead the next time. if you need help creating an appropriate diff, send me a mail.
OK, here comes a diff. Just copy /usr/portage/net-misc/nut/nut-1.0.0.ebuild to nut-1.2.0.ebuild and patch it. And if you don't like that, you can just edit it manually and change SRC_URI from SRC_URI="http://www.exploits.org/nut/release/${P}.tar.gz" to SRC_URI="http://www.exploits.org/nut/release/1.2/${P}.tar.gz"

i notice 1.2.1 is out now
i got around to testing 1.2.1 and its working fine for me on 2 systems
i just merged this on a 3rd that didnt have x and the cgi-bin stuff needs x11 also which isnt in the depends (sorta sucks too cause id like to try out that cgi-bin stuff.. *sigh*)
actually no it doesnt/shouldnt require X its just dying while trying to find Gentoo's libgd library, of which for some reason we only have the .a version and not a shared library. somebody have a sed fix to the configure.in or similar so we can fix that? i'll then commit an updated nut-1.2.1 package with some other fixes reported in another bug. but not until the libgd thing is fixed ;-)
ok i have a updated ebuild that makes it so it compiles correctly one problem that is minor i noticed the ebuild compiles alot after its entered the install section (looks like all the ups drivers)
Created attachment 7675 [details] nut-1.2.1.ebuild nut ebuild with sed script fix its missing a depend on apache cause it was causing me problems since im using apache2 now (isnt there a virtual/httpd depend now?)
updated on CVS. just fixed the sed statement to come in src_unpack to configure.in where it really should be.. was missing a \" before the \1 token as well. yup your sed statement comes after a 'cd client' which is why it then compiled all the stuff in make install ;-) thanks for the help, appreciated all.
