In the interest of openness, it seems to me that we ought to make the gentoo-src cvs tree available to those who want it. I realize that we don't want to restart anonymous cvs, due to the bandwidth hit, but could we have a daily snapshot of the tree uploaded to ibiblio the way we do w/ the gentoo-x86 tree? (I'm not sure how, exactly, we do the latter, which is why I'm assigning the bug to drobbins.)
Currently I think that cvsup is looking like our best option. Reassigning back 'atcha.
The new glibc borks cvsup. *Sigh*
Tossing back into the pool until we truly have cvsup support. Vapier is actively working on getting cvsup compiled on all of our platforms.
so how about a cvsup-server ?
Martin?? We plan to have one once we have cvsup functional on all of our supported archs.
i dont see why we cant have cvsup servers running even though we dont have all arches supported yet ... i mean we got x86 and ppc, and they account for the very large majority of Gentoo users atm
...been a couple months. Any change in this bug?
