Description Andy Fong 2005-09-27 07:41:41 UTC
The 2.6.14-rc1-mm1 has a serious reiser4 bug which corrupted my whole
filesystem. I haven't notified the developers but unfortunately, I couldn't send
them any useful debug information. According to the developers, some of the bugs
are fixed in rc2, so at least make a new ebuild for it. Please mask off (-x86)
this ebuild to prevent anyone else to become a victim until you have a new ebuild.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Actual Results:
I already lost my filesystem and I am not trying it again or use Reiser4 anymore.

dont use reiser4
Comment 2 Andy Fong 2005-09-27 08:09:09 UTC
I won't be using mm-source if I am not using reiser4. Of course, now I know
better. I am just trying to tell you that, either mask the package or update the
ebuild to rc2 which was out since 9/22. Or at least put warning in the ebuild. I
hate to see other people lose the filesystem.

We don't support mm-sources [1] and we don't support reiser4.
