there are a bunch of syntax errors in ruleswidget.h. here are the first few:
In file included from main.cpp:29:
ruleswidget.h:112: error: parse error before `{' token
ruleswidget.h:113: error: virtual outside class declaration
ruleswidget.h:113: error: non-member function `const char* className()' cannot
   have `const' method qualifier

and here's a few more error messages:

!!! died running emake, kde_src_compile:make

er. this may have been fixed while I was figuring out what went wrong... if it's
still compiling happily in an hour, I'll assume it was, and try to close this thing.

nope, I'd forgotten about it. 
but naturally konq crashed when I tried to view this bug. *sigh* yet another bug report 
to do...
