we should add something to the ppc faq about quik. vladimir suggests: Quik is a bootloader for oldworld PPC machines (If you use BootX, you can use Quik, if you use yaboot, you can't). It can be incredibly difficult to install, and is currently *NOT* working with gcc 3.x (read: Gentoo 1.4), but the end result is somewhere between neato and breathtaking (think yaboot on speed - With ketchup). If you have no fears of wearing your fingers into little nubs paging through countless sources of nearly useless documentation, please see the following links: http://penguinppc.org/projects/quik/ http://penguinppc.org/projects/quik/defaults.shtml http://penguinppc.org/projects/quik/quirks.shtml http://lppcfom.sourceforge.net/fom-serve/cache/217.html http://www.netbsd.org/Ports/macppc/models.html http://www.imaclinux.net/php/imaclinux_g_h.php3?single=17+index=0
added new section to gentoo-ppc-faq.xml in cvs.
Some links doesn't work. There is not any Howto, the quik manpage only.
