Description Priit Laes (IRC: plaes) 2005-09-24 22:13:56 UTC
Don't know if it's a bug or a feature request, but here I go. ;)

In GNOME versions < 2.12 Epiphany's address input worked differently than it
does now in 2.12. Before you could input a search phrase and it was searched
using google.com, but now when you type "search me" to the address input you get
an alert saying "The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded". It was nice
functionality and I used it a lot, so removing is quite a painful for me.

Reproducible: Always

Confirmed, the "Search the web: " toolbar option works though.

Upstream here: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=314974 - keyword
searches will be back in in 1.8.1.
