Description Arie Huijzer 2005-09-24 12:03:52 UTC
Kdm-3.4.2 does not show a user list and user images.

This happened after a complete new install -because of harddisk problems- with
gentoo 2005.1
With my old harddisk and the same settings I did not have this problem, but
then my system was upgraded from KDE-3.3.x

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. install gentoo 2005.1 on an empty harddisk
2. emerge KDE
3. change user images - as admin - in KDE control center

Actual Results:
No user list and no user images

Expected Results:
A user list and imagaes

To be find out what causes the problem I checked/did this:
o checked settings of KDM
o generated new kdmrc file
o copied -workin- config from other pc
o reemerged KDM-3.4.2
o on my old system it worked
o checked permissions of path "/usr/kde/3.4/share/apps/kdm/faces"
o emerged -O KDM-3.4.1: suddenly it works
o emerged -O KDM-3.4.2: broken again
o emerged -O KDM-3.4.1: it works again
o conclusion bug KDM-3.4.1

You need to emerge kde-base/kdepasswd. This is fixed in the 3.5.2 ebuild.
