when i emerge psi 0.9.3-r4 (current stable) it add's itself to the gnome menu, but icons are missing. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge psi 2. (re)start gnome 3. look in the internet folder in gnome menu Actual Results: icons are missing Expected Results: icons should be there
The Problem is still there in psi-0.10. I don't know what these psi-desktop.patches in the files/ directory are for but when i edit my /usr/share/applications/psi.desktop and change Icon=../icons/hicolor/48x48/apps/psi.png to simply Icon=psi then the icon is shown. Is there an active maintainer for the psi package? psi-0.10 is out for a while and it is not marked stable although no bugs has been filed in the last 30 days (i think). In addition: Do we need al these -extras and -insecure-patches flags? Shouldn't we just provide the official, clean and stable psi release and do that fast?

Previously I had problem with this in kde, but I'll try that today. > Is there an active maintainer for the psi package? psi-0.10 is out for a while > and it is not marked stable although no bugs has been filed in the last 30 days > (i think). maintainer is partially 'out' - I'm finishing my MD thesis. just few more weeks and it will be finished. > In addition: Do we need al these -extras and -insecure-patches flags? Shouldn't > we just provide the official, clean and stable psi release and do that fast? large group of users are using this flags. extras is for those who want some more features. insecure-patches holds (mailny) tex support - very popular among my univ friends. xmms isn't finished. I'll rewrite this patch as only I'll have some free time. Regards, Przemek

Some older versions of kde had problem with just Icon=psi, that's why I chenged this. It's not a problem anymore and I didn't want to break anything in gnome - sorry for this. Fixed in CVS. Thx for reporting. Cheers, Przemek
