Upon running './ardour', ardour crashes immediately (before GUI) and prints
"Illegal instruction" to the shell.

Which ardour version? Which jack-audio-connection-kit version? How did you start jack? Can you try an 
strace or gdb to get a little more useful info please?

The ezra is probably not 100% i686 compatible, so your options made it compile 
with illegal instructions for your CPU.
