while trying to emerge geresh 0.4.1 I ran into the following problem

checking for strerror... yes
checking for strstr... yes
checking for strtol... no
configure: error: A required function does not exist

I couldn't test this even if it did compile.... it a bidi text editor.

Feel free to reopen if you have a patch and/or a way to test.
