After an emerge sync I get the message that my current profile is deprecated.
I'm using /usr/portage/profiles/uclibc/mips/mipsel.
The deprecation message tels me to switch to /usr/portage/profiles/uclibc/mips
but that changes my default CFLAGS to mips-gentoo-linux-uclibc instead of
mipsel-gentoo-linux-uclibc

i assume you mean 'CHOST' and not 'CFLAGS'

you should have CHOST set in your /etc/make.conf

if you dont, then you shouldnt have deleted it
