slime-cvs has problems using the process-bridge thae seem to be related to the old swank.asd that ships with the ebuild. this is representative of a typical session: emacs-21.4, using today's cvs (byte-compiled w/emacs-21) and sbcl: (emacs-21) Loading disp-table...done Loading tool-bar...done Loading image...done Loading tooltip...done Loading /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/site-gentoo.el (source)... Created attachment 68741 [details] new swank.asd
The problem I was having was actually upstream. However it would still be nice if slime-cvs did get a more up to date swank.asd. Sorry for the confusion.
I am in the process of preparing another app-emacs/slime snapshot
I just added app-emacs/slime-1.2.1.20051112 which is slime 1.2.1 plus CVS up to today. I will move its updated asdf file to slime-cvs shortly
thank you
I believe I forgot to close this. The swank.asd in slime-cvs matches that in slime-1.2.1.20060205.ebuild
