I've installed app-office/mozilla-sunbird-bin with ~amd64 and unmasked it and it works fine, no problems installing it or running it so far, and I've been putting it through it's paces. dioxide linux # emerge --info Portage 2.0.52-r1 (default-linux/amd64/2005.0, gcc-3.4.4, glibc-2.3.5-r1, 2.6.12-gentoo-r4-r1 x86_64) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.12-gentoo-r4-r1 x86_64 AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 242 Gentoo Base System version 1.6.13 distcc 2.18.3 x86_64-pc-linux-gnu (protocols 1 and 2) (default port 3632) [disabled] ccache version 2.3 [enabled] dev-lang/python: 2.3.5-r2 sys-apps/sandbox: 1.2.13 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.13, 2.59-r6 sys-devel/automake: 1.4_p6, 1.5, 1.6.3, 1.7.9-r1, 1.8.5-r3, 1.9.6 sys-devel/binutils: 2.15.92.0.2-r10 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.18-r1 virtual/os-headers: 2.6.11-r2 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="amd64" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CBUILD="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-march=k8 -O2 -pipe -fweb -frename-registers -mfpmath=sse -msse2 -mmmx -m3dnow" CHOST="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3.4/env /usr/kde/3.4/share/config /usr/kde/3.4/shutdown /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/lib/X11/xkb /usr/share/config /usr/share/texmf/dvipdfm/config/ /usr/share/texmf/dvips/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/generic/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/platex/config/ /usr/share/texmf/xdvi/ /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-march=k8 -O2 -pipe -fweb -frename-registers -mfpmath=sse -msse2 -mmmx -m3dnow" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoconfig ccache distlocks sandbox sfperms strict userpriv usersandbox" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://gentoo.mirrors.easynews.com/linux/gentoo/ http://gentoo.ccccom.com ftp://gentoo.ccccom.com" MAKEOPTS="-j2" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="amd64 X a52 aac aalib acl alsa apache2 audiofile avi bash-completion berkdb bitmap-fonts caps chroot cjk crypt cscope cups curl dedicated dts dv dvd eds emboss encode fam ffmpeg flac flash foomaticdb fortran gd gdbm gif glut gmp gnome gnutls gphoto2 gpm gstreamer gtk gtk2 ieee1394 imagemagick imap imlib innodb ipv6 jack java jpeg kerberos krb4 ladcca lcms ldap libcaca libwww lm_sensors logrotate lzw lzw-tiff mad maildir mcal md5sum memlimit mikmod mng motif moznoxft mp3 mpeg mysql nas ncurses network nls nptl nvidia odbc offensive ogg oggvorbis opengl pam pcre pdflib perl php png portaudio postgres ppds python qt quicktime readline rrdtool ruby samba scanner sdl skey slang sndfile snmp socks5 speex spell ssl svg tcltk tcpd tetex theora tiff truetype truetype-fonts type1-fonts unicode usb userlocales v4l vhosts vorbis wmf wxwindows xgetdefault xine xinerama xml xml2 xmms xpm xprint xv zlib userland_GNU kernel_linux elibc_glibc" Unset: ASFLAGS, CTARGET, LANG, LC_ALL, LDFLAGS, LINGUAS, PORTDIR_OVERLAY
it already is keyworded ~amd64, it's just p.masked, but that's the maintainers issue -> reassigning
Which version are you talking about? The 0.2.20050724 version? This version is hella buggy. What version is 0.2.20050724 this anyways? Is this a nightlies? When I download the current stable version for Windows from the Sunbird site I just get 0.2.
nevermind, I was using the latest off the website, I thought I was using the one I emerged but forgot I changed it. The current one in portage should just be taken out, but it would be nice to see the current stable put in, but that's another day.
