Description Maurice Volaski 2005-09-17 17:28:04 UTC
I see error like these in my logs frequently

./current:Sep 17 20:00:01 [kernel] mkdir[8423]: segfault at 0000000000000000 rip
000000000040184d rsp 00007fffff97a780 error 4

I am using 2.6.13 vanilla sources compiled with gcc version 3.4.4 (Gentoo 3.4.4-r1, ssp-3.4.4-1.0,
pie-8.7.8). I am using the ext3 filesystem.

Another gentoo user also reported this issue on the kernel mailing list

Which coreutils version? Also, post emerge --info like you were instructed to
when filing the bug.

It looks like this bug is already in the kernel bugzilla...
