Description Joe Wells 2005-09-17 15:21:53 UTC
The app-editors/emacs-22.0.50_pre20050225 fails to install the
etc/images directory. The emacs-22.0.50-20050225.tar.gz archive that
this ebuild downloads should have a subdirectory
emacs-22.0.50/etc/images (whose contents should be installed), but it
does not.

Because of this, I have encountered missing images (for buttons, etc.)
in the user interface of the Gnus subsystem.

(Yes, I know this version of Emacs is keyword-masked on most
architectures. I am using it anyway.)

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Add "app-editors/emacs ~*" to a line in
   /etc/portage/package.keywords to unmask the ebuild.
2. Install it with "emerge emacs".
3. Use the Gnus subsystem and notice missing images.

Actual Results:
Images were missing from the user interface of the Gnus subsystem of Emacs.

Expected Results:
There should have been images in the user interface of the Gnus subsystem of Emacs.

Please use emacs-cvs for your architecture and try again. The said emacs version is to provide the standard emacs package for pcc-macos, not for any other arch. Closing this as invalid, open up a new bug if emacs-cvs fails for you (cannot reproduce it here).
