emerging goes fine, but running the script (as root or not) results in:

Creating XML Catalog root /etc/xml/catalog
could not open /etc/xml/catalog for saving
Failed creating /etc/xml/catalog, aborting

hence, it appears not to work. I have no idea what it is, so maybe I'm doing
something wrong.

Seems to be that the directory /etc/xml doesn't exist.
The package seems to be trying to bootstrap a docbook system.
However, it is not really successfull.

After manually creating /etc/xml, I get the following output

Creating XML Catalog root /etc/xml/catalog
Creating DocBook XML Catalog /etc/xml/docbook
Could not locate chunk.xsl of DocBook XSL stylesheets
No installed DocBook XML DTDs found

Perhaps it should depend on docbook-xsl-stylesheets?
However, this package doesn't emerge on MacOS (cf #106256)
