Comment 3 Marcus D. Hanwell (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-09-16 16:29:59 UTC
Please submit diffs to the ebuilds in portage in future - it is much easier for
us to see what the important changes are (if any) in the ebuilds. I have added
these to portage, but they are in p.mask due to being betas. The look pretty
good, and work well over here. It is much improved - I have become addicted to
this app recently... It is very good.
Comment 4 Cyrill Helg 2005-09-17 02:57:59 UTC
ok no problem I'll do that in future ;)
About the app... Oh yes it really rocks, it also won the TUX Readers Choice Award :)

Thank you!
Comment 5 Cyrill Helg 2005-09-19 04:04:48 UTC
digikam-0.8.0_beta2 is out... please update ebuilds ;) renaming should work!
Comment 6 Marcus D. Hanwell (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-09-19 04:26:24 UTC
If it is then they haven't announced it, or put it up on their mirrors.
Renaming results in a failed download - I was checking this out last night when
I saw mention of beta2 in another bug.
Comment 7 Cyrill Helg 2005-09-19 04:27:55 UTC
ok no problem I just saw it on mailing list, they will anounce it very soon I
think, but If you are up to this like I think, its not problem... Thx

Comment 10 Cyrill Helg 2005-09-22 09:29:52 UTC
you are talking about beta1? Thats crap I once also had this error... Marcus
please help...
Comment 11 Cyrill Helg 2005-09-22 09:33:09 UTC
I just tested it again, and here it works... can anyone explain this? Or can you
give us more info... Thanks!
Comment 12 Marcus D. Hanwell (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-09-22 11:59:08 UTC
Well beta2 still doesn't seem to be out, and I am unable to reproduce your
error with configure. I have looked at the appropriate lines in configure and
they look fine to me. Beta 2 is still not out. May be an emerge info will give
me some clues, but I really cannot see why configure is bailing. Have you had
issues with other programs? Marking the bug as LATER due to beta 2 still not
being release.

checking if hidden visibility should be enabled... yes

digikam-0.8.0_beta1 emerged without any problems, but beta2 doesn't.
I can reproduce this error, when I change into
"/var/tmp/portage/digikam-0.8.2-beta2/work/digikam-0.8.2-beta2" and type
"./configure". The configure script exits with the error above.

This is my emerge info:

Should now be fixed, new versions are in portage so closing.
