First let me acknowledge that I do not believe this is a Gentoo-specific issue, but I recall reading somewhere that bug reports should be filed here and will be forward on to the main project developers as appropriate. Please forgive me if I'm wrong in this. Further, it's only a bug for me.. this may have been the developers intent when they coded it.. I just don't like it as it's one more thing I have to do to view the article I'm interested in. This gets tedious when I'm thumbing through hundreds of articles. In previous versions of Thunderbird, when using the RSS feed functionality the link to the web site was available in the summary information above the summary text -- even when the full information was collapsed. As of 1.0.6 (at least that's when I noticed it..) I have to expand the feed item details to get to the site link. Note that this is only a problem when you select "only download summaries" for the feed. I hope this is clear. If not, please feel free to email me for clarification or scolding. :) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a new RSS feed, and select "Show the article summary instead of loading the web page." 2. Select one of the RSS articles. 3. Notice that the subject, author, date and time are in the summary bar above the message summary, but there is no link to the web site. 4. Clink on the + to expand the article information. 5. Notice that the web site link is now available. Actual Results: The web site link was only available in the expanded info area. Expected Results: I would have preferred to have the link available from the collapsed area. Perhaps the subject text could be a hyperlink when in collapsed view?
