We have an ebuild for Egenix MX base in dev-python, however as a python
developer, I sometimes use the Egenix MX Experimental python modules. They
contain some handy utilities such as UID generation.

I've taken a stab at writing an ebuild for mx-experimental.

Apologies, I set the mime-type to "autodetect" when I uploaded the file, and as
a result it thinks that it's a binary file. It really is an ebuild. You might
find it more convenient to pick it up from my SVN:
