1.6.3-rc3 has many fixes included for gcc-4.x would like to see an ebuild
supporting it as soon as possible if even possible would make life grand for us
gcc-4.x users :D.

I have adapted mjpegtools-1.6.2-r4.ebuild from portage to the new version, for
my use. I have removed all patches, except the one for compiling without X
(untested, though). I have also --enable-simd-accel for amd64. This ebuild works
for me.

Please submit an unified diff between the original ebuild and yours instead of 
a complete ebuild.

mjpegtools-1.8.0 is already in portage. So I think this bug should be closed.

But, please, refer to bug 108417 for some considerations about enabling assembly
optimizations (simd-accel) for amd64.
