Markus Dittrich has volunteered to help the sci herd with bug-fixing and   
package maintainance. He has also done some great work on quantum chemistry   
and molecular dynamics ebuilds. His interest and the quality of his work   
convinced me he would be a valuable addition to our team. I am ready to mentor   
him.    
   
Markus lives in Urbana, United States of America, and can be reached by email  
at [e-mail]. "markusle" is the nickname he would like to use in the 
Gentoo project.

Recruiters should now have received everything necessary for Markus'   
evaluation (ebuild quiz, GPG id, SSH key). CC'ing George Shapovalov since he 
is lead of the scientific herd and must approve the recruitement (if I am not 
mistaken).

Must I?  
"The new developer and all mentors should be CC'd on the bug to keep everybody  
in the loop." does not mention any other structure other than "all  
mentors" (which in this case I am not). But I agree that in general this makes 
sense.. 
  
Well, anyway, we talked about this all on gentoo-science (mailing list). And of  
course I approve, and hereby dutifully notify our recruiters team of my formal  
approval :).
