Description Michael Labhard 2005-09-10 11:58:49 UTC
I have installed fox:

*  x11-libs/fox
      Latest version available: 1.5.4
      Latest version installed: 1.5.4
Size of downloaded files: 3,933 kB
      Homepage: http://www.fox-toolkit.org/
Description: C++ based Toolkit for developing Graphical User Interfaces
easily and effectively
      License: LGPL-2.1

However, when I attempt to emerge freeride it tells me:

goliath ~ # emerge -upDv freeride

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating dependencies ...done!
[ebuild NS ] x11-libs/fox-1.0.49 +cups +opengl 0 kB
[ebuild NS ] x11-libs/fox-1.2.6-r2 +cups -debug +opengl +truetype 0 kB
[ebuild N ] x11-libs/fxscintilla-1.62-r1 +doc 0 kB [1]
[ebuild N ] dev-ruby/fxruby-1.2.6 +doc 0 kB [1]
[ebuild N ] dev-util/freeride-0.9.3 0 kB [1]

Total size of downloads: 0 kB
Portage overlays:
 [1] /usr/local/portage

freeride fails to emerge because fox-1.0.49 emerge fails (different bug).
Shouldn't freeride use the version of fox installed?

Sorry. Discovered this is an fxscintilla problem, not freeride. Moving the bug.
