The distfile foomatic-db-3.0-20050909.tar.gz specified in SRC_URI does not (no
longer?) exist at linuxprinting.org.

The mirrors have a truncated file: actual length is 2411960, should be 3978063
(according to digest).

Yes the problem it's fixed with the new snapshot (20050910). Looks like they
removed the files right after i made my commit. 

Rsync in few minutes and you should have the new snapshot fixed.
