make-zlib.patch

Maybe you can send the versions from the ebuild into the Makefile... so it
would apear only in one place.

Looks like it's fixed, see bug 104118.
Comment 3 Michal Januszewski (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-09-10 01:55:24 UTC
Hm.. It should be fixed now, please reopen if it's not.
Comment 4 Alon Bar-Lev (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-09-10 07:09:36 UTC
No...
I've sync portage and no... It was not solved.
Also in your site:
http://dev.gentoo.org/~spock/projects/splashutils/current/splashutils-1.1.9.9.tar.bz2

It was not updated.
Comment 5 Michal Januszewski (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-09-10 07:59:08 UTC
Can you confirm that the md5sum of the 1.1.9.9-r1 ebuild is
78cb574dc8f34abf79da75211b497b95?

The tarball on my site is irrelevant here. It will not be updated now, and I'll
not release a new version only to update zlib.
Comment 6 Alon Bar-Lev (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-09-10 08:19:56 UTC
But it does not install it-self.
In the ebuild you extract zlib 1.2.3
and in the Makefile you use zlib 1.2.1
It is strange that it works for you...
Are you sure everything is OK?
Comment 7 Michal Januszewski (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-09-10 15:32:19 UTC
If you have a closer look at the Makefile, you'll notice that it uses ?= to
assign the value, not =. This means that any exported env. variables will
override the default value specified in the makefile. The updated ebuild exports
ZLIBSRC, so everything should be working perfectly well.

Doesn't it work for you? Are you sure you have the updated ebuild, one with the
md5sum that I posted in my previous comment?

I am sorry, I missed the hash in your reply.
