Description Volker Hemmann 2002-11-10 15:47:53 UTC
I installed kde3.1_rc2 and qt 3.1.0_pre20021104 and most thinks were ok.
After a rsync, an emerge -up world showed qt 3.0.5-r2 as an update.
I did an emerge -u world and kde gone wild, licq didn'T start up etc.

I emerged qt 3.1.0_pre20021104 and everything was fine again, but emerge -up world
is showing qt 3.0.5-r2 again.

System is an up-to-date 1.4 with glibc 2.3.1 portage is 2.0.43
Comment 1 Hannes Mehnert (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-11-11 05:55:24 UTC
thats because qt-3.1.0_pre20021104 is masked, or am I wrong?
an emerge -u world shows also kde-3.0.4, doesn't it?
Comment 2 Hannes Mehnert (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-11-16 20:51:46 UTC
a solution here would be emerge -i x11-libs/qt-3.0.5-r2.
Comment 3 Dan Armak (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-11-28 11:55:19 UTC
Yes, this is correct behaviour.
