Description Michael Mauch 2005-09-09 15:55:39 UTC
Hi,

here's an ebuild for earth3d, a package that displays the earth, using satellite
data from online databases.

Regards...
  Michael

Please fix the following and reopen:

* http://dev.gentoo.org/~ciaranm/docs/mw-faq/nomirror.txt
* http://dev.gentoo.org/~ciaranm/docs/mw-faq/quoting.txt
* Your echo is in a rather weird format. Please move the >> bit to the end of
the line. Also, split it in two rather than using -e and \n in case any of the
variables contain backslashes.

What would be a good category for this application?

sci-geosciences?
Comment 7 Michael Mauch 2005-09-13 13:15:49 UTC
There's x11-misc/xearth (displays earth) and app-misc/gpsdrive (fetches maps)
which do somewhat similar things, but probably sci-geosciences is much better
than *-misc.

Hello,
sorry that nobody took a look on your report and patch when it was relevant.
Now our scan of bugzilla pointed that this package is based upon Qt3 and thus not possible to be included in Gentoo anymore so we are closing the report as such.
