the source tarball is missing a file, but was added a few days later to CVS. the missing file is: scorched/data/globalmods/apoc/data/textures/explode/smoke-orange.bmp Simply adding it from their sourceforge CVS fixes the apocolypse mod. the file is 12k, however, so i'm not sure it is appropriate to add to the portage tree. can the ebuild just do a CVS source grab of that file? some other better solution? Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge =games-strategy/scorched3d-39.1 2. try to play the apocolypse mod 3. Actual Results: at end of loading, scorched exits with a popup complaining the noted file can't be found. Expected Results: destroy the world!!! muahahahaha!
The texture was only 12k so I just added it to files/ Resync/remerge to get it. Sorry about the delay in getting this into portage. I really thought 39.2 would be out sooner.
I get late submiting my patch for this (I blame my ISP), I created scorched3d-39.1-missingfile.patch.gz, which includes the missing file and the patch for the Makefile. The ebuild is attached on bug 106495 attachment #71612 [details] and attachment #71613 [details, diff] which compiles with wxGTK-2.6. Thanks Mr_Bones_ :)
