Description Gregory Cymbalski 2005-09-07 22:44:58 UTC
The new version of iTunes, released Sep. 7 2005, breaks compatibility with the
current version of mt-daapd, which is the most recent version in portage. To
correct the issue, I've created a new ebuild for mt-daapd-2.1.1-r1.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install mt-daapd, configure.
2. Note how iTunes sees the share, but will not actually do anything with it.
3. Despair.

new mt-daapd ebuild compiled cleanly and yields a completely working version
that is compatible with iTunes 5 for OSX (I haven't tested it with iTunes for
Windows, but I assume that is fixed as well.)

mt-daapd 0.2.2 (which includes this patch) has been released. It's not on the sf
mirrors, yet, though. Once it's on the mirrors a simple version bump to 0.2.2
should suffice.

0.2.2 is now on sf - can someone increment the version

The 0.2.2 release doesn't compile on some systems (including mine) and today 0.2.3
with a fix for this was released. simply renaming the ebuild for 0.2.3 works fine here

0.2.3 in cvs.
