When I click Help | About with the new Firefox version, I get a yellow error
message.  Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050906
Firefox/1.0.6

I fixed it my deleting the file XUL.mfasl

rm /home/chris/.mozilla/firefox/g90zjfoa.Default\ User/XUL.mfasl

I had the same problem, but re-emerging sorted it.
