Description Sebastian Baldovino 2005-09-06 19:59:15 UTC
When I try to start a gnome while using the gtk-qt theme in kde gnome won't
start. I think its has something to do with how the .gtkrc file is modified by
gtk-qt-engine

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.gtk-qt-engine must be installed and configured
2.try to start a gnome session
3.

Actual Results:
gnome crash or doesnt load properly

Same problem her, I adjunt my .Xsession-errors:
SESSION_MANAGER=local/tux:/tmp/.ICE-unix/4364
esd: Esound sound daemon already running or stale UNIX socket
/tmp/.esd/socket
This socket already exists indicating esd is already running.

this is known. You need to switch to another theme when using gnome.

If you want this changed please figure out why it crashes, have a look at gtk-engines-qt sources and fix it.
You can then submit the patch upstream and reopen this bug asking me to add it to portage.
With the next version of this theme I will also warn in postinst about this, thanks.
