spcaview is a v4l viewer for media-video/spca5xx. please test and keyword.

I am unable to test this package (no webcam of any kind), though you just to let
you know; S=${WORKDIR}/${P} is totally useless.

I just copied /usr/portage/skel.ebuild, it should be removed from there as well.

"The default value for S is ${WORKDIR}/${P} If you don't need to change it,
leave the S= line out of the ebuild to keep it tidy." -- skel.ebuild

Sorry for being picky :)

bump, over a month at this point.....
Comment 5 Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-10-11 11:58:14 UTC
So what? Perhaps there just isn't anyone with the proper hardware to test.
Comment 6 Petteri Räty (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-10-14 12:31:16 UTC
I have the hardware and have been working with kingtaco to get this working but
unfortunately spca5xx does not know the id of my camera yet.
Comment 7 Andreas Hinterland 2005-10-31 01:49:10 UTC
I tested the ebuild on x86 together with a Logitech QuickCam for Notebooks and
everything worked fine for me.

I just downloaded the latest spacaview-2005101 and installed it by copying the
spcaview build and add ~x86 to the keywords. Works just perfect.
Comment 10 Mark Loeser (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-12-16 00:19:30 UTC
Since this depends on the driver going stable to be at all useful, please readd
us to CC when everything is ready.
