Description Brad Laue (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-09-05 11:03:15 UTC
Epiphany is using the plugin directory of the browser it was built with (be it
Mozilla or Firefox), and not also looking into our global plugins folder, which
causes it to load no plugins at startup. An easy fix for this would be to add
MOZ_PLUGIN_PATH=/usr/lib/nsbrowser/plugins to the environment when launching
epiphany.

Reproducible: Always

Addendum: I've tested this with USE="firefox" so far, will rebuild it with
regular Mozilla and find out as well. But since both
/usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/plugins and /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins are directories
with nothing but libnullplugin present, it's likely the same issue will take place.

This is using epiphany 1.6.4.

Firefox 1.0.6-r2, Mozilla not presently installed.

Taking ownership as this is a Mozilla issue

Fixed in Firefox 1.0.6-r5, which is now stable on x86.
