"arpd replies to any ARP request for an IP address matching the specified destination net with the hardware MAC address of the specified interface, but only after determining if another host already claims it. Any IP address claimed by arpd is eventually forgotten after a period of inactivity or after a hard timeout, and is relinquished if the real owner shows up. This enables a single host to claim all unassigned addresses on a LAN for network monitoring or simulation." arpd is a dependency of honeyd (to be submitted), and depends on libevent, which I just submitted (Bug # 10482). -Daniel Mannarino

You'll need libevent (from Bug # 10482) for this. -Daniel
This on uses dosbin and doman rather than relying on make install. I just prefer it ... it seems safer. Ignore this if you disagree. - Daniel Mannarino
Created attachment 5517 [details] arpd-0.1-r1.ebuild (Slight Tweak) *sigh* Sorry, I'll get the hang of this. This ebuild uses Portage commands dosbin and doman instead of relying on make install. It also removes an unnecessary bit in the configure line. - Daniel Mannarino
Created attachment 5758 [details] arpd-0.1-r1.ebuild (Fixed Dependency) I added libpcap as a dependency...because it is ::)
Committed this one too, thanks again. Please test!
