Hi, just surfed the web and noticed version 0.13 on http://dxr3.sf.net for the em8300-* ebuilds. Here's a copy-pasta of freshmeat.net changelog headline: Changes: This release contains a new em8300setup utility to replace em8300init, fixes multicard support, and provides some bugfixes. For more info see http://dxr3.sf.net
Created attachment 5559 [details] New ebuilds Hello, my first ebuild, so please don't blame me if something goes wrong... should be quite stable, though, since I didn't have to change much. I updated the 0.12.0 ebuilds to the new version. I also added /etc/devfs.d support for the modules, and obsoleted the old em8300init by the new em8300setup in the library package. Couldn't figure out how to use "USE=gtk", though. This way gtk is still a dependency ...
Brandon, the em8300-related ebuilds were your babies, if memory serves me right. Since I neither use the libraries, nor have much idea of what they are supposed to do ;^), I don't think that I'm a good assignee for this bug. Would you like to take it?
Please also note bug 10339 when dealing with this one.
Created attachment 5563 [details] Updated version Hello again, please notice bug #10339 ... This is an updated version which addresses the mentioned dependency problems. (GTK is now optional in the libraries package, and the kernel-sources are only required during build in the modules package)
I'll get to looking over and comitting all of this today. Thanks Arcady, yeah this was one of my first ebuilds back in the day ;-)
