As described in http://websvn.tigris.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=40,
the fix 
http://websvn.tigris.org/nonav/issues/showattachment.cgi/15/websvnfixx.txt works
fine and could be included in the gentoo package as long as there is no new
official version, isn't it ?

Fixed in -r2
