According to the: http://gsd.di.uminho.pt/jpo/software/wakeonlan/mini-howto/wol-mini-howto-3.html the well-known wakeonlan utility is now in version 0.41, as opposed to portage, where there's only wakeonlan-0.40.ebuild. Please consider to upgrade this package. Thanks! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge --sync 2. ls -al /usr/portage/net-misc/wakeonlan Actual Results: Only the wakeonlan-0.40.ebuild can be found in portage. Expected Results: Please put wakeonlan-0.41.ebuild in portage. It might be that it is a very simple version bump, but as always some care should be taken (like ~arch keywording it). Alas, I couldn't provide an upgraded ebuild myself, mostly because I'm not so familiar with writing them (maybe some day I will?)
As can be seen on: http://gsd.di.uminho.pt/jpo/software/wakeonlan/ This is now the new homepage of the Wakeonlan script. Previous versions can still be downloaded from the original author homepage. And in ChangeLog there's: Version 0.41 (2005-01-27) - Minor documentation updates/corrections. So this probably is quite simple to bump the version. But this is only my wild guess.
