IMHO in iptables*.ebuild there should be two extension USE flags: external-extensions, which would turn on IMQ and l7 patches and an (internal-)extensions, which would leave the KERNEL_DIR env. var. alone. :) Or just leave alone the KERNEL_DIR at all. I'm using a single patch from patch-o-matic-ng repository and I have to change every iptables ebuild, when a new one comes in. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Daniel: take care of this for us please ?
Maciej - good idea Mike - np - will look at it soon.
Created attachment 70699 [details] iptables-1.3.3-r3.ebuild this is what i've done so far. When you apply your patch where does KERNEL_DIR need to point? I'm guessing /usr/src/linux. Also curious as to which patch you are using? What is the URL do you use to get patches off netfilter now?
ping - assistance/input requested.
Please test attached ebuild and let me know what you think. No further action will be taken until feedback is received.
