Description Joshua Brindle (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2002-11-08 15:22:10 UTC
The cpqarray version on the install cd (2.4.21) on the xfs kernel does not
work. The driver version in -gentoo -lolo -crypto etc (2.4.5) does work on my
compaq smart array 2/p. I would love to be able to use the install cd to
install gentoo so support for my raid controllers would be great. Thanks :)

Hi Joshua :) Test the new experimental 1.4 release CDs -- I think they'll work
for you. From what I've see then Compaq stuff only works if it is in a module
for some silly reason.

both cciss and cpqarray work
Comment 3 Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-25 11:24:32 UTC
Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux".

I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers,
this is the only reasonable way to do this.
