Emerge system failed, citing failure to unpack linux-2.6.11-r2.tar.bz2 and
alluding to previous errors that are unviewable.

Reproducible: Didn't try
Steps to Reproduce:
1.update installer
2.install from stage 1
3.wait for emerge system phse

Actual Results:  
The installer halted with an exception.

If the livecd is still booted, can you attach the last ~50 lines of
/tmp/compile_output.log?

This appears to just be a typical install SNAFU...not an installer bug.
