please see actual results Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.emerge cdf #FAILS! it's not mandatory, anyway 2.emerge netcdf #suggested, not mandatory 3.emerge hdf #suggested, not mandatory 4.emerge opendx 5.emerge opendx-samples Actual Results: all was fine :) opendx and its samples work; a minor issue, not necessarily linked to the apps, is that the exact procedure suggested by handbook to depclean keeps giving opendx-samples as a horphaned dependency; further: the cdf libraries don't compile Expected Results: It works fine. It would have been nice if also cdf libraries compiled so that we can manage such data format too. Not sure if the program puts icons and items in the start menu on kde or gnome, it didn't in xfce4 that's one I'm using. cdf is now in use.mask, so we can safely mark this one testing
(In reply to comment #2) > cdf is now in use.mask, so we can safely mark this one testing I tried to recompile cdf on AMD64 with no success. Details to bug #104044 (104045 us a duplicate: my fault with browser).
i know, that's why i masked the use flag 'cdf', so opendx won't ever depend on it. feel free to appach a patch to bug 104045
